I have long dreamed of designing a glass light that would pay homage to the artisanship of famed Bohemian Crystal. Because the roots of glassmaking date back to the 17th century, I realised I was facing a great challenge as I aspired to build on these roots while going beyond the cutting edge. This led me to turn the form inside out, placing the crystalline structure inside the object and leaving the outside surface smooth. The result is a pendant light that retains the refractive effects of traditional Bohemian Crystal, but can be used in minimal, modern interiors where a traditional glass chandelier would be inconceivable.
